Oktoberfest & Miniature Golf Outing

In 2005, we expanded our approach and raised $40,000 for Gilda’s Club.  Gilda’s Club is named in honor of Gilda Radner, who, when describing the emotional and social support she received when she had cancer, called for such places to be made available for people with cancer and their families and friends everywhere.  Noogieland, named after the noogies that Bill Murray gave to Gilda Radner on Saturday Night Live, is the Gilda's Club program for children and teens. The program provides support groups and art-based activities that are developmentally appropriate for children and targeted towards helping them deal with their cancer experience.
