Delivering Supplies for "Tools 4 School"
Something Great Foundation helped out in its local area by assisting United Way of Hunterdon County in their "Tools 4 School" drive. The drive collected donations of back to school supplies for students who do not have the money to afford them. Our
foundation donated 21 backpacks of different sizes and colors, and 8 lunch boxes. We joined United Way in their Sort-a-thon to separate and sort the school supplies into what each agency and school asked for.
On Wednesday, August 25, we went to the United Way's office and filled our Something Great Truck with boxes that were stuffed with supplies and labeled with the name of the location we were delivering them to. We left the office at around 11:00 in the morning and drove to six schools and agencies. Our first stop was The Youth Center at Glen Gardener followed by High Bridge Elementary School, Readington Middle School, SAFE in Hunterdon, Robert Hunter Elementary School and Milford Public School. We finished our deliveries at around 3:00 in the afternoon and drove for a total of 76 miles.
